TRB TNTET 2012 Latest Information ( 19.08.2012)

Teachers Recruitment Board  TRB of Tamil Nadu has completed total valuation process  and it has been found that only about 2000 candidates have successfully passed the examination with the qualifying marks.

What is the latest and updated qualifying mark for TNTET 2012 ?

There are questions for 150 marks and the candidates who has taken 60 % ( 90 Marks) is considered as successful in TET 2012. Since there are very less number of candidates are successful this year, the TRB is planning to reduce the cut off marks and percentage from 60 % to 50 - 55 % . So that the number of successful candidates may be increased.


When will be the TNTET Results 2012 Published ?

There is now official notice about the result publishing date, but it is expected that the TRB will publish the result with in the end of August 2012.  Candidates please keep visiting http://trb.tn.nic.in

IAS in a Minutes : A complete information


Civil Service Examination (IAS Examination) has three successive stages: 
1.Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) 
2.Main Examination (Descriptive Type)
3.Interview (Oral) 
1. Preliminary Examination
Preliminary Exam has two papers. The question paper will have questions in English and Hindi languages.
Paper I : 2 hrs duration & 200 marks
Paper II:2 hrs duration & 200 marks


2.Main Examination
There are total 8 papers in main examination. The total mark is 2000.
Paper: I
Subject: Any one of the Indian Regional Languages given in the List.
Duration: 3 hours
Maximum Marks: 300
Paper: II
Subject: English Language Test
Duration: 3 hours
Maximum marks: 300

Note : Papers I & II will contains questions on Matriculation or equivalent standard. The marks obtained in these papers will not be counted for ranking. But the candidates should attain the qualifying marks.

Duration: 3 hours
Maximum marks: 200

Optional Subject 1 : Candidates has to select this optional subject from the prescribed list.

TNPSC Group 4 exam results has been published today on 08.10.2012 ( October 8th 2012 ) The examination was conducted on 7th July 2012 and  attended by more than 6 lakh candidates and the most awaited results. The qualification for the examination was SSLC .

TNPSC examinations to be conducted online soon

This is the ever latest information from Tamilnadu Public Service Commission TNPSC that the upcoming TNPSC Group 1, group 2 , group 4 and all examinations conducted by TNPSC will be conducted through online.

TNPSC has announced tender for conducting online examination. This may be a good news for all aspirants as this is most trust worthy.

What is the fee for TNPSC online examination ?

Fee structure also may be raised in TNPSC examination as online examinations are costly. Though TNPSC has not announced about fee structure, we may little bit compare the amount of fee collected for existing online examinations like IIT-JEE, CAT, MAT, GATE. We can expect online TNPSC examinations from this 2012 group 2 exam to be conducted on November 4th 2012 or from group 1 2012 or from 2013.

IIT JEE 2013 to be in two parts JEE-MAIN and JEE-ADVANCED

To reduce incovinience interm of time, finances and the stress caused in scheduling and preparing for multiple entrance examinations, on both, the students and parents, the Council of Indian Institutes of Technology CIIT had, in its meeting on 14.09.2011, endorsed 'in-principle' the proposal of a Common Entrance Examination for admission to undergraduate programmes in Engineering.

Based on the discussions held amongst the various stakeholders, including those from the IIT system, it has been decided to hold a Joint Entrance Examination from the year 2013 for admission to the undergraduate programmes in engineering in two parts, JEE-MAIN and JEE-ADVANCED.

Eligibility to attend JEE-Advanced
Top 1,50,000 candidates (including all categories) based on the performance in JEE-MAIN will qualify to appear in the JEE Advanced examination.

Final Admission Criteria

Admission to IITs will be based only on category-wise All Indian Rank (AIR) in JEE-ADVANCED, subject to condition that such candidates are in the top 20 percentile of successful candidates in Class XII examination conducted by their Boards in applicable categories.

Admission to NITs will be based on 40% weightage for performance in Class XII Board marks normalized on percentile basis and the remainder 60% weightage would be given for performance in JEE-MAIN and a combined AIR would be decided accordingly.

TRB TNTET 2012 Re examination exam duration to be increased

Since the government and the teachers who attended the July 12th 2012 Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test conducted by TRB are not satisfied with the pass percentage now the government of Tamilnadu has decided to conduct a reexamination on October 3 rd 2012

Will TRB increase Exam time in TNTET 2012 ?

Yes there will be an increase in the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test ( TNTET) 2012 test duration. After recieving huge complaints from the candidates now the state government ias decided to increase the tntet examination time from present 1.30 hours to 3 hours . The blind candidates will have extra half an hour. This may be a good news for all the TNTET aspirants.

TRB announced TNTET 2012 re examination date

TRB for the first time conducted TNTET on July 12 2012. The results of the examination has been announced today 25.08.12. Only about 2000 candidates out of 6 lakhs have successfully cleared the examination by ssecuring minimum eligibility marks. So the government is not satisfied with the results and it decided to conduct an re exam for TNTET 2012 on 3rd October 2012.

Government's this move has been widely praised by all candidates as they get an another chance to check their fate. The question pattern also will be easy compared to the last one.

UPSC Civil Service Mains Syllabus : General Studies

Papers IV & V of the Civil Services Mains Examination will contain Questions on General Studies. These two papers will cover 600/2000 of the total marks in the written examination. The questions of  IAS Mains Examination will be more analytical than factual. Candidate will be checked in  general awareness and basic understanding of a variety of subjects, which will have relevance for a career in Civil Services.

Paper-I

(1) History of Modern India and Indian Culture

The History of Modern India will cover history of the Country from about the middle of nineteenth century and would also include questions on important personalities who shaped the freedom movement and social reforms. The part relating to Indian culture will cover all aspects of Indian culture from the ancient to modern times as well as principal features of literature, arts and architecture.

(2) Geogrphy of India

In this part, questions will be on the physical, economic and social geography of India.

(3) Constitution of India and Indian Polity

This part will include questions on the Constitution of India as well as all constitutional, legal, administrative and other issues emerging from the politico-administrative system prevalent in the country.

(4) Current National issues and topics of social relevance

This part is intended to test the candidate's awareness of current national issues and topics of social relevance in present-day India, such as the following:

(i) The Indian economy and issues relating to planning, mobilization of resources, growth, development and employment.
(ii) Issues arising from the social and economic exclusion of large sections from the benefits of development.
(iii) Other issues relating to the development and management of human resource.
(iv) Health issues including the management of Public Health, Health education and ethical concerns regarding health-care, medical research and pharmaceuticals.
(v) Law enforcement, internal security and related issues such as the preservation of communal harmony.
(vi) Issues relating to good governance and accountability to the citizens including the maintenance of human rights, and of probity in public life.
(vii) Environmental issues, ecological preservation, conservation of natural resources and national heritage.
Paper-II

(1) India and the World

This part will include questions to test candidate's awareness of India's relationship with the world in various spheres such as the following:-

    Foreign Affairs with special emphasis on India’s relations with neighbouring countries and in the region.
    Security and defence related matters.
    Nuclear policy, issues, and conflicts.
    The Indian Diaspora and its contribution to India and the world.

(2) India’s Economic Interaction with the World

In this part, questions will be on economic and trade issues such as foreign trade, foreign investment; economic and diplomacy issues relating to oil, gas and energy flows; the role and functions of I.M.F., World Bank, W.T.O., WIPO etc. which influence India’s economic interaction with other countries and international institutions.

(3) Developments in the Field of Science & Technology, IT and space

In this part, questions will test the candidate's awareness of the developments in the field of science and technology, information technology, space and basic ideas about computers, robotics, nanotechnology, biotechnology and related issues regarding intellectual property rights.

(4) International Affairs and Institutions

This part will include questions on important events in world affairs and on international institutions.

(5) Statistical analysis, graphs and diagrams

This part will test the candidate's ability to draw conclusions from information presented in statistical, graphical or diagrammatical form and to interpret them.

On July 15th of 2012, Delhi High Court has delivered an important judgment. In this judgment the court ordered UPSC to disclose 2010 Preliminary Exam results.
